About me

Hello, my name is Rosie McLoughlin, founder of Wild Rose Forest Therapy.

I'm a certified Forest Bathing Guide and Applied Psychologist with 12 years experience working in mental health. I guide gentle, sensory nature walks that help soothe the mind and restore your connection to the woodland's beauty. My aim is to provide a warm, comfortable, accessible and friendly approach to all my walks.

I discovered the benefits of Forest Bathing after attending a walk with Caitlin Keddie in Glasgow around 2013. In this walk I slowed down mindfully, felt awe for small moments and connected meaningfully with others. I realised this was a very special practice, which started my passion to learn more. In 2021 I had the opportunity to complete my Forest Bathing Guide training with Forest Therapy Hub. Despite years of training in Psychology, I learnt many new valuable theories and the science behind this wonderful practice.

We all need to learn helpful ways to calm down and restore to manage the stressors of life. For me, Forest Bathing and nature connection practices are my favourite way to feel restored and I love being able to share these experiences with others.

Are you curious to find out more? Come join me on a walk!
